It’s officially ten more days until TEDxKids@BC and I am getting anxious and excited at the same time. For the last two months, I have been working to prepare my speech with the huge support from my friends and I am getting more and more comfortable presenting it. I’m still perfecting some parts of the speech but 98% of it is pretty locked down right now. I’ve been telling myself to stop being too critical and just start practicing the delivery. So the next few days, I will be pushing myself to practice and practice and practice and practice and practice some more under different circumstances.
I will write a more thorough blog post after the event to recap my feelings, the ups and downs, throughout this journey. It is definitely one of the most exciting things I have ever prepared for and I couldn’t have gone this far in my preparation without the help of my friends and family.
I am heavily inspired by the other speakers as well. Most of them are much younger than me but it’s amazing how they have the courage to do this and how passionate they are about their respected topic. I can’t wait to hear their talks and see the audience’s eyes lit up.
