There’s always that person that keeps you grounded. I’ve found mine. It seems like he’s the only one that is not aware of what it is that I do and I like it that way. Well, to be honest, most of the time, it just feels like he’s such a jerk for looking down on me and showing how he could care less about anything that I do. Don’t get me wrong, his personality is quite awesome and he’s a pretty hard worker I’d say.
Sure, I got slightly offended, felt helpless and taken off guard many times, but at the end of the day, I’m thankful to have him around. He makes me humble and keeps me thinking of what can I do to claim myself as a worthy person in front of him.
Success is not fun when everyone is cheering for you, right? It’s always good to be reminded to not be so big headed and that I am just one small person in this big world, and I still have a long way to go.
So, thank you for making me introspect myself more often and be more humble.
You shouldn’t gloat about anything you’ve done; you ought to keep going and find something better to do. ~David Packard
